Inter manager Antonio Conte is hopeful that he will have Nicolo Barella back at his disposal for the match with Roma in just under two weeks time according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian national team midfielder missed this past weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Bologna due to injury and Inter confirmed yesterday that he has sustained a thigh injury.

Barella will miss Inter’s next three matches with Hellas Verona, Torino and SPAL but Conte hopes to have him back for the match against the Giallorossi at the Stadio Olimpico on July 19.

Barella’s injury is just the latest in a long line of injuries that Inter midfielders have picked up this term. Marcelo Brozovic and Matias Vecino have returned following their recent injury troubles but Stefano Sensi remains sidelined by injury.

Barring any further setbacks, Conte will have Brozovic, Vecino, Gagliardini, Borja Valero, Eriksen and Agoume available for Thursday’s clash with Hellas Verona.
