Inter like AC Milan central midfielder Franck Kessie but he is not the first option being considered by Nerazzurri management to bolster the midfield according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Last Summer the two Milanese clubs held talks over a potential Kessie-Radja Nainggolan swap and more recently in the January transfer window they spoke about a possible swap of Kessie and Matias Vecino.

Vecino’s agents have re-proposed the idea to AC Milan in the past couple of days seeing as Inter are looking to offload their client in the upcoming transfer window.

Paolo Maldini likes Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini and has good relations with his agent but the fact Maldini is unlikely to be in the same position in the next few months means the idea of a Gagliardini and Kessie swap has not and is unlikely to take off.

The report concludes that Inter appreciate Kessie, who is rated at €35 million, but the Nerazzurri currently more focused on signing Brescia’s Sandro Tonali.
