Christian Eriksen has the remaining eight Serie A matches to show whether Inter can build the team around him or not according to a report in yesterday’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Following a couple of impressive performances against Napoli in the Coppa Italia and Sampdoria in the first match back when the Serie A season resumed, Eriksen’s performance levels have dropped in recent matches and he once again looks like the player he was when he arrived at the club. Back then he had the alibi of not being in shape but cannot use the same alibi now.

The Danish national team player is Inter’s joint highest paid player alongside Romelu Lukaku with him earning €7.5 million plus add-ons and Eriksen has to prove that he is worthy of such a salary and his place in the side, especially ahead of next season where competition for places will be even stronger than it is now.
