Inter will play a single legged match with Getafe behind closed doors in Germany in the last 16 of the Europa League, tournament organisers UEFA have confirmed via an official statement on their official website tonight.

From the quarter final stage onward, the Europa League will be contested in four cities across Germany. Those cities are Cologne, Duisburg, Dusseldorf and Gelsenkirchen.

The Europa League quarter finals will take place starting August 10 and the final of the tournament will be played on August 21. All matches in the tournament will be played behind closed doors due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

UEFA will announce the full schedule for all remaining matches following tomorrow’s draws for the next rounds of both the Champions League and Europa League, which are to take place in late morning/early afternoon.

Inter and Getafe will meet for the first time when they meet next month and the winner of the tie could potentially be drawn against the likes of Premier League club Manchester United, German outfit Bayer Leverkusen or Ukranian giants Shakhtar Donetsk.
