Hellas Verona have rejected Lazio’s offer for highly rated defender Marash Kumbulla according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lazio submitted a €20 million plus Andre Anderson, who is valued at €5 million, offer to the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi side but it has been rejected as Hellas Verona want at least €25 million in cash.

The player himself has not closed the door on any possible move therefore meaning the race to sign him is open. Lazio aside, both Inter and Juventus also have an interest in signing the Italian born Albanian national team player.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that none of the three clubs have any intention of being caught up in a bidding war for his signature.

This season Kumbulla has had his first team breakthrough at Hellas Verona, who have been the real surprise story of this season. He has one goal in 24 appearances.
