Inter’s interest in signing Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa appears to have cooled according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere Fiorentino.

The Nerazzurri club have been strongly linked with making a move for the Italian national team winger for a long time but Inter have signed Achraf Hakimi to play at right wing-back already and seem to have shifted their attention onto improving other areas of the team now.

Chiesa is facing an uncertain future with La Viola, who he has a contract with until the end of the 2021/22 season. Chiesa has not yet asked to leave but has also not shown a willingness to sign a contract extension and as time passes it seems less and less likely that he will sign a new contract with the Florence based club.

This season the 22-year-old has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored seven goals and provided five assists for his teammates.
