Inter manager Antonio Conte’s words following the defeat to Bologna did not have the desired impact against Hellas Verona nor did the tactical changes he made according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Conte admitted he had full faith in his team despite the fact they threw away the match against Bologna and lost 2-1 but rather than being repaid for the faith shown, the team started in the worst possible fashion as they conceded within two minutes of the game beginning at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

Whilst Milan Skriniar was undoubtedly at fault, he was not the only one with the report also stating that Stefan de Vrij and Samir Handanovic were at fault too.

As for the tactical changes, Conte brought Borja Valero and Alexis Sanchez in in place of Christian Eriksen and Lautaro Martinez respectively but neither Valero nor Sanchez made the desired impact.
