It is not impossible for Radja Nainggolan to stay at Cagliari according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Nuova Sardegna.

The Belgian midfielder is currently on loan at the Sardinia based Rossoblu club from Inter and there is a concrete possibility that he could spend another year with Cagliari.

Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini is currently evaluating the situation and the report adds that Nainggolan has told Inter that he does not wish to be used as a trade chip in the upcoming transfer window, as many reports have suggested he might be.

The Belgian would gladly return to Inter but only if Inter manager Antonio Conte intends on utilising him otherwise his desire is to remain with Cagliari and finish his career with them.

Whilst on loan at Cagliari, the former Roma midfielder has made 28 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.
