Inter and Chelsea are both interested in signing Lille’s attacking midfielder Jonathan Ikoné, according to a report from French media outlet Le10Sport earlier today.

The report details how both the Nerazzurri and the Blues are keen on the 22-year-old French trequartista, who is contracted to the Ligue 1 side until 2023. Both sides have made first contacts with the player’s entourage and the club, but neither have started any real negotiations yet, with no offers being made either.

Ikoné made 36 appearances across all competitions for Lille this season, for a total of 2649 minutes. In that time, he scored four goals and provided seven assists, impressing for the Ligue 1 outfit and attracting the attention of the Nerazzurri.

Inter are looking to strengthen the squad this summer in order to both make strong investments for the future and to provide coach Antonio Conte with a competitive squad. The 22-year-old is one of many young talents Inter are interested with, with others being players like Marash Kumbulla and Sandro Tonali.
