Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has had his driving license revoked after failing an alcohol test whilst driving on Friday evening, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 27-year-old Croatian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until the end of June 2022, was driving his Rolls Royce through the Porta Genova area of Milan on Friday evening. The 2018 World Cup runner up ran a red light and was stopped by a Carabinieri patrol, who administered an alcohol test.

Brozovic failed the test after being slightly over the permitted limits, the report continues, and has had his driving license revoked.

The 27-year-old Croatian midfielder has hardly featured for the Milanese club since the restart of the season, featuring twice in six league games. The player was suffering from a calf injury that he has seemingly recovered from, and is expected to start against Torino on Monday.
