Italian journalist and Inter fan Fabrizio Biasin discussed the Nerazzurri’s current position on the transfer market in an interview with Italian broadcaster Telelombardia earlier today.

“There’s nothing going on between Alaba and Inter, Kante doesn’t appear likely to me while the club are interested in Vidal, but in this case, there is nothing concrete.”

Biasin also spoke about Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, who coach Antonio Conte has been keen to sign for some time now. The Nerazzurri were close to finalizing a deal for the 33-year-old Frenchman in the January transfer window, but it never materialised as the Milanese club instead decided to focus on signing Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen from Tottenham.

“Giroud? I don’t think he’ll come, Emerson Palmieri instead is a concrete objective.”

Inter are looking to strengthen their squad this summer, in order to give coach Antonio Conte more depth and stars to work with.

One of the most important areas that Conte would like to strengthen is the left wing back position, with 35-year-old Ashley Young the only player confirmed for the department. Chelsea’s Emerson is the club’s top choice for the role, with Conte knowing the player from his time in charge of the Blues.
