A report from yesterday’s print edition of the Milano based newspaper il Libero has suggested that former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri would be perfect for Inter, should the club decide to part ways with current coach Antonio Conte.

The report details how Allegri would find players in the squad that would perfectly fit his preferred tactical system. These include an incredibly strong pair of centre backs in Stefan De Vrij and Milan Skriniar, a strong regista like Marcelo Brozovic, a creative trequartista in Christian Eriksen and two complementary strikers in Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.

With players like Nicolo Barella and Achraf Hakimi at his disposal, the report continues, as well as a potentially big transfer window, Allegri would be able to create a strong 4-3-1-2 based squad.

Whilst this may be tempting for Inter’s management, Conte is currently tied to the club until 2022 on a contract worth €22 million, so it’s incredibly unlikely he’ll be dismissed this summer.
