Inter owned midfielder Radja Nainggolan’s future is still unclear, as the Nerazzurri are unsure what to do with him, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder was sent out on a dry loan to Cagliari last summer, not long after the arrival of coach Antonio Conte.

The former Roma midfielder has shone this season with the Rossoblu, leading some to suggest that the Nerazzurri reintegrate Nainggolan to the squad at the end of the season.

Inter are still unsure what to do with him, the report continues. Cagliari are keen to keep the 32-year-old, but cannot afford either his transfer fee or his high wages.

Inter may decide to recall the player to reintegrate him into Conte’s squad or to sell him elsewhere. Or alternatively give the Sardinian club a significant discount on the player, the report continues.

Radja Nainggolan has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 28 appearances so far this season.
