Barcelona will be unable to sign Lautaro Martinez unless they sell Philippe Coutinho or another big player according to a report from Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar.

The Blaugrana club have been courting the highly rated 22-year-old for some time now but have not come close to meeting Inter’s demands for him.

Lautaro’s €111 million release clause has expired and Aguilar states that Inter had previously demanded €90 million plus Junior Firpo but Barcelona never made such an offer as they wanted to include more players and therefore no deal was reached.

Negotiations have been stalled for some time due to Barcelona’s reluctance to meet Inter’s demands and without a big sale, Aguilar claims it will be difficult for the Spanish powerhouses to sign the Argentine national team forward.

This season Lautaro has made 38 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, he has scored 17 goals and provided five assists for his teammates.
