Inter’s pursuit of Emerson Palmieri complicates Barcelona’s pursuit of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Inter are working to try and sign former Roma man Emerson and if they succeed it will prevent Barcelona from offering Junior Firpo to the Nerazzurri as part of a deal for Lautaro, who they have been courting for a number of months now.
Barcelona hope that they may be able to convince Inter to take Arturo Vidal as part of a deal for the 22-year-old but Inter have no interest in acquiring the Chilean midfielder in this fashion and would rather do a separate deal for him instead.
The report goes on to add that Barcelona still need to raise adequate funds to make a move for Argentine national team forward Lautaro and they intend to raise these funds through the sales of several players.
