Inter’s asking price for Radja Nainggolan is a huge obstacle to him staying at Cagliari past the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The former Belgian national team midfielder would more than happily stay with the Rossoblu club and Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini dreams of being able to keep a hold of him.

However, even if Nainggolan were to significantly reduce his wages, Inter’s asking price makes a permanent move very difficult.

Inter do not want to sell Nainggolan and make a loss on him, even more so given the current situation in the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has hugely impacted money in football.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to state that it is currently too early to suggest Inter’s asking price is impossible for Cagliari to meet but the signs certainly are not positive.
