Roma are prepared to sell club captain Edin Dzeko for financial reasons and hope that Inter come back in for him according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international’s has wages of €14 million gross a year and they would be willing to let him depart if they receive an offer of €15 million for him.

As per the report, Inter are prepared to go back in for Dzeko, who they tried to sign this time last year. For the time being though there has been no direct contact.

Roma are already preparing themselves for life without the former Manchester City player and are already looking around for a replacement. Napoli’s Arek Milik appears their current favourite but he could cost somewhere around €50 million.

This season Dzeko has made 38 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
