Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has admitted that he and teammates would make Inter striker Lautaro Martinez feel at home at the Camp Nou should he join the club in the coming months.

The highly rated 22-year-old Argentine national team player has been strongly linked with a possible transfer to the Blaugrana club for a considerable amount of time.

Inter have made their demands for the former Racing Club player more than clear but Barcelona seem reluctant to meeting Inter’s demands and have other ideas about how they would like to sign Lautaro.

“He’s a truly great player. He’s been playing at a very high level for Inter,” Suarez remarked in an interview with Spanish news outlet Sport.

“It’s not easy to move to Italy from Argentina and show everything he has in a league as difficult as the Italian one. He’s young and we’ll try to help him if he comes to Barca, to adapt and make him feel comfortable.”

Lautaro joined Inter back in the Summer of 2018 in a circa €20 million deal and he still has three years left to run on his current contract with the club.

This season Lautaro, who has reportedly agreed terms with Barcelona, has scored 18 goals and provided six assists for teammates in 39 appearances across all competitions to date.
