Inter club management could sign Roma captain Edin Dzeko as a gift for manager Antonio Conte according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter showed a keen interest in signing the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player last Summer and have maintained their interest in him.

Inter manager Antonio Conte dreams about the prospect of being able to have Dzeko at his disposal as he would be perfect in terms of his suitability for the current tactic, as a back-up option for top goalscorer Romelu Lukaku and as a player capable of playing alongside Lukaku in the attack too.

Dzeko, who is currently under contract with the Italian capital city club until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 38 appearances across all competitions to date this term.

During his time on the park, which totals just shy of 3100 minutes, he has scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
