Chelsea central midfielder N’Golo Kante is a big target for Inter as they look to bolster their midfield department according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The 2018 World Cup winner knows Inter manager Antonio Conte and the former Italian national team player’s methods well having previously worked under him and at 29-years-old, he still has a lot to give and can still play at the highest level for a few more years yet, at least.

Chelsea no longer deem the diminutive midfielder to be as fundamental but despite this they would still want somewhere in the region of €60 million for him.

Kante is not the only Chelsea player on Inter’s radar with the report going on to add that they also like wing-back Emerson Palmieri, who has also worked under Conte before.

The report adds that if Inter wish to sign the duo they will clearly need to scrape together sufficient funds, something they could do by making a big sale.

The report goes on to conclude that if Kante were to arrive at Inter, it would close the door on the possibility of Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal arriving at the Nerazzurri.
