Legendary former Inter captain Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi has revealed that he liked what he seen from Inter in last night’s 3-1 triumph over Torino.

Inter fell behind during the first half after goalkeeper Samir Handanovic dropped the ball at the feet of Andrea Belotti. Inter went into the half time interval trailing 1-0 but came out all guns blazing at the start of the second half and scored three goals in quick succession to turn the game in their favour.

“Inter reacted well and played good football, especially the two forwards. I saw Sanchez saw grow as well as Lautaro. In general, I liked Inter,” Bergomi explained in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following the match which was played behind closed doors a San Siro.

He was then asked about the Serie A title race, which Juventus are currently leading with 76 points whilst Inter and Lazio both have 68 points and Atalanta have 67.

“Now it’s late. It will depend on the next two matches as Juve will face Sassuolo and Lazio.”

Bergomi spent his entire playing career on Inter’s books and made 754 appearances across all competitions for the club, an appearance totalled bettered only by Javier Zanetti.
