Inter manager Antonio Conte wants to keep Alexis Sanchez at Inter past the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player has been one of Inter’s best performers since the 2019/20 season got back underway and is certainly out to make up for the time he lost out on due to injury earlier on this season.

Conte and Inter want to keep Sanchez but dealing with Manchester United represents a real obstacle. Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Piero Ausilio are working to keep him but only under certain conditions.

The former Barcelona player earns €13 million net a year at Manchester United, a salary which rises if they play in the Champions League.

Inter could take Sanchez on loan again but Manchester United would have to again agree to pay around 60% of his wages in order for a move to be possible.
