Inter could use Christian Eriksen as a bargaining chip in a deal for another player in the upcoming transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The Danish national team attacking midfielder joined the club in a circa €20 million deal from Tottenham Hotspur back in January but has struggled to adapt and cement a place in Antonio Conte’s team.

Although he has the joint highest salary at the club, with him earning €9 million a year, including add-ons, the fact Inter signed him for as little as they did makes him easily resell-able at a higher amount if they choose to go down that route.

Inter have drawn links to several different players ahead of the upcoming transfer window and it now remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri club will look to use Eriksen to help them get a deal over the line.
