Christian Eriksen To Take Borja Valero’s Place In Inter Starting Line-Up Against SPAL

Christian Eriksen will return to the Inter starting line-up tonight against SPAL as could Andrea Ranocchia according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Having started on the bench in Inter’s past two games, Inter manager Antonio Conte appears set to give Eriksen another chance to impress from the first whistle tonight at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.

The Danish national team attacking midfielder will take the place of Borja Valero and will play in behind strikers Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that Ranocchia could well be given a rare appearance as he could be brought in in place of Stefan de Vrij, who is one booking away from serving an automatic one match suspension.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s report also states that both Romelu Lukaku and Nicolo Barella will miss tonight’s match due to injury but will be back to face Roma at the weekend.
