Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali On Stefano Sensi’s Future: “Inter Will Most Likely Sign Him”
Sassuolo chief executive Giovanni Carnevali has admitted he feels certain that Inter will sign on loan Stefano Sensi on a permanent basis.
Sensi joined Inter in a season long loan from the Neroverdi club with an option to buy set at €25 million and it has long been rumoured in the media that there is a gentleman’s agreement between the clubs for Inter to take up the option.
Sensi made a stellar start to life in the Nerazzurri but since picking up his first injury in October in the first Derby D’Italia of the season, the diminutive Italian national team midfielder has struggled to stay fit and has picked up injury after injury.
“We will meet with Inter to decide what to do. However, I think that Sensi will certainly have to be signed by Inter,” Carnevali remarked in an interview with the gathered media following the press conference in which the celebrations for Sassuolo’s 100th anniversary were presented.
This season Sensi has made 18 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
