Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is aiming to return for Sunday’s match away to Roma but his participation is still doubtful according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

According to the report, things will become clearer tomorrow with regard to the 27-year-old and whether or not he will be available for selection. Him returning would come as a big boost to Inter given he is the top goalscorer this term with him having scored 26 goals.

The Belgian national team striker has missed Inter’s past two matches, wins over Torino and SPAL, due to an injury and carried out an intense personalised training schedule in training today in a bid to get himself back fit for the match.

The report goes on to explain that central midfielder Nicolo Barella, who has also been missing lately due to injury. will be back at the disposal of manager Antonio Conte and he could well be in the starting XI at the Stadio Olimpico.
