Inter wing-back Cristiano Biraghi has admitted that he feels that he and teammates managed the match well in the 4-0 win away to SPAL on Thursday night.

Inter took the lead via Antonio Candreva shortly before the half-time interval and Biraghi scored Inter’s second goal of the game shortly after the second half began. Biraghi then turned provider soon after as he assisted Alexis Sanchez’s goal. Inter’s final goal was scored by Roberto Gagliardini.

“We knew it was not going to be easy. We were good at directing the game. In the last few games we hadn’t always managed to manage the matches, so we kept our concentration high in order to not suffer any counterattacks that then hurt us,” he explained in an interview with Inter’s official club broadcaster Inter TV, following the game.

Biraghi was then asked about the number of goals that Inter have scored since the 2019/20 Serie A season got back underway last month following the Coronavirus lockdown.

“All the goals? We hope to keep some for when there will also be fans in the stadium.”

In conclusion he looked ahead to this weekend’s Serie A clash away to Italian capital city club Roma.

“Roma are a strong team but we are aware that we are Inter and we will go to the Olimpico to win.”

This season Biraghi has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
