Italian journalist Matteo Barzaghi has analysed Inter’s recent upturn in form following a shaky spell in the past few weeks.

Inter dropped points against Sassuolo, Bologna and Hellas Verona but have since went on to record two consecutive victories against Torino and SPAL.

“In the last two matches Inter have reacted to what Conte has said. The coach talked evaluating things at the end of the season and has fielded players who have played less and got answers,” Barzaghi explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia earlier on today.

“Candreva scored, Biraghi scored and Ranocchia played against SPAL. Inter a fresh from a psychological point of view. They are in second place and it will be important for them to confirm the improvements made to build again next year.”

Sky Sport Italia proceed to heap praise on both Alexis Sanchez and Diego Godin, both of whom have found form since the 2019/20 season got back underway after struggling in the games played prior to the season being brought to a halt due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Sanchez has grabbed himself two assists and tallied a single goal since the season resumed whilst Godin has performed much more to the level expected from him. In addition to Sanchez and Godin playing well, Alessandro Bastoni has continued to play well during his breakthrough campaign.
