Italian journalist and Italian broadcaster TeleLombardia director Fabio Ravezzani has taken to social media platform Twitter to criticise the way in which the Serie A schedule has panned out.

Inter played away to SPAL in Ferrara last night but rather than return to Milan in the early hours like they did for the previous away match against Hellas Verona, the Nerazzurri club opted to stay in a hotel overnight.

As a result, Inter will have less time to prepare for this coming weekend’s Serie A clash which is yet another away game which comes against Italian capital city club Roma.

Following last night’s 4-0 win, Inter are sitting in second place, six points adrift of league leaders Juventus and if Inter win and Juventus fail to pick up maximum points Inter could further reduce the gap with their arch rivals who have faltered as of late.

Ravezzani posted the following to Twitter: “It makes no sense for Inter to finish playing shortly before midnight in Ferrara and then return to the pitch on Sunday evening in Rome. The team will sleep in the hotel in order to not return at 4 in the morning, but all this is insane.”
