Inter manager Antonio Conte has not been in contact with Barcelona’s Junior Firpo according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubbica.

Reports in the Spanish media have suggested that Conte has made contact with Firpo, who could potentially be acquired as part of a deal that would send Lautaro Martinez to the Blaugrana but the Rome based news outlet insist that there has been no contact.

Reports in the media for a long time have stated that Barcelona wish to do a player plus cash deal for Lautaro, who they have been courting for a considerable amount of time.

Inter have long made their demands for the highly rated 22-year-old clear but Barcelona have not come close to meeting the Nerazzurri’s demands for him but they have seemingly already agreed personal terms with the Argentine on the basis of a five year contract with a salary in excess of €10 million a year.
