Manchester City would have no problem in offering €100 million for Lautaro Martinez but could offer a player as part of a deal according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Since the Court of Arbitration for Sport overturned their Champions League ban, Manchester City can now spend a lot more freely and Manchester City wish to add Lautaro, who they deem as an ideal heir to compatriot Sergio Aguero, to their ranks.

If the Citizens opted to try a player plus cash deal for the 22-year-old they could offer either Angeliño or Gabriel Jesus to Inter.

The report goes on to explain that as time passes, Inter’s desire to keep a hold of Lautaro grows but it cannot be said that a big offer from Manchester City might not change things.

Barcelona have a long standing interest in signing Lautaro but have struggled to meet Inter’s demands for him. In Spain though the belief is that following a few sales Barcelona will make a move for Lautaro but they will have to move quickly as the Spanish FA are thinking of shutting the transfer window some time between August 31 and September 7.

The report also adds that Real Madrid have an interest in signing Lautaro, who is under contract with Inter until 2023.
