Italian football journalist Paolo Condo has shared his belief on what has changed at Inter off the back of their second consecutive victory last night against SPAL.

Prior to the wins over SPAL and Torino, Inter’s form had been rather shaky but Condo believes that manager Antonio Conte’s comments in the media plus a players and staff dinner have been key in Inter’s recent change in fortunes on the pitch.

“Inter had four terrible days, between Bologna and Verona. Then Conte issued heated statements,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia earlier on today.

“There was a dinner at Pinetina which was perhaps decisive. I think the coach and the team have exchanged important words with one another. There was a moment of tension, which will not be easy to maintain.”

Condo then went on to discuss the possibility of Inter signing Alexis Sanchez on an outright basis, something that he feels is currently very difficult.

Sanchez is currently on loan at Inter from Manchester United and has been the team’s star performer since the season resumed and Condo has admitted he cannot see Inter paying big money to a player who will not be the first choice.

“I don’t believe much in the idea of Sanchez being redeemed unless his salary is spread over four years. There is no way that in heaven or on earth that Inter’s fourth striker will earn €10-12 million a year.”

In conclusion he spoke on the Serie A title race, which is currently being lead by Juventus, who have a six point lead on Inter.

“Everything is in the Juventus’ hands. Inter need to win in Rome to put pressure on them. If they had won all their last 8 matches they would have been top of the league. There are regrets.”
