Austrian winger Valentino Lazaro is set to return from Newcastle to Inter this summer as the English club aren’t interested in permanently signing the 24-year-old, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.
The report details how the 24-year-old joined from Hertha Berlin last summer, but failed to convince coach Antonio Conte of his capabilities in the first half of the season, and so was sent out to Newcastle on loan with a buy option attached. His time in England initially started well, but since the Coronavirus stop he has barely featured for the club, failing to play a full 90 minutes.
Lazaro hopes to return to Milan in a position where he can fight for a spot in the squad, the report continues, and is willing to play in a variety of roles in order to convince Conte. Turkish side Trabzonspor, as well as several German teams, are interested in the Austrian, but the player dreams of a successful career with Inter.
