Italian Media Claim Roma’s Edin Dzeko Is Inter Coach Antonio Conte’s Top Striker Target

Roma striker Edin Dzeko is Inter coach Antonio Conte’s number one goal to complete his attacking line, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the former Chelsea and Juventus coach is looking for the strong possible team in order to challenge for the league title next season, and isn’t worried about a player’s age or wages.

The Bosnian striker perfectly fits what Conte wants to finish his tactical system, although the former Manchester City forward’s arrival depends on one thing.

Dzeko will not join if 22-year-old Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez remains in Milan, the report continues, as the Nerazzurri will instead focus on signing a younger striker.

Negotiations with Roma may also be tough for the 34-year-old, although their failure to qualify for the Champions League for the second consecutive year means they may be forced to lose Dzeko regardless.
