Inter are interested in signing Roma striker Edin Dzeko but will not make an offer for the player until they know the future of Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia late last night.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri haven’t prepared an offer for Dzeko yet, the report continues, as they must understand what is going to happen to Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentine striker is heavily wanted by Barcelona, but the Blaugrana cannot afford to pay for the player with cash in full, instead having to offer multiple players in exchange. Once Inter know if Lautaro is staying or going, they will be able to make a decision regarding Dzeko, the report continues.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen their squad this summer in order to provide coach Antonio Conte with the most competitive possible squad.

The Lecce born coach is a fan of the 34-year-old Dzeko as he appreciates the player’s leadership, his goal scoring record and off the ball movement.
