Inter wont make an offer for Roma striker Edin Dzeko until the Giallorossi officially put the player on the transfer list, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri looked to sign the 34-year-old Bosnian forward last summer, talking with both the player and the club, before he signed a new three-year deal with the Roman side.

Due to this experience, Inter refuse to make an offer for the former Manchester City striker until Roma officially put him on the transfer list, the report continues.

According to the report, Roma may be forced to sell Dzeko this summer, the report continues, due to their current financial situation, worsened by the fact that it seems likely that they’ll fail to qualify for the Champions League for the second consecutive season. Dzeko has scored 18 goals and provided 10 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
