Former Inter striker Ivan Zamorano discussed Nerazzurri forward Alexis Sanchez and his strong form with the Milanese club, as well as the title race, in an interview with Chilean radio broadcaster Radio Cooperativa yesterday afternoon.
“I think Inter’s recent form is extraordinary, and I think Alexis is turning into a key figure in Antonio Conte’s tactical system. He seems to be very well physically and tactically, he is making an important contribution to keep Inter’s hopes alive of winning the Scudetto.”
Zamorano then discussed how will win the league title this season.
“Juve are the favourites, but Inter, Lazio and Atalanta will fight until the end.”
Sanchez has spent this season on a dry loan from Manchester United and initially struggled to hit the ground running. The 31-year-old Chilean only made three league appearances for the Nerazzurri before suffering a tendon injury whilst on international duty with Chile, forcing him to miss a large part of the season. He returned briefly in 2020 before the Coronavirus stop, but has finally started to impress since the season restart.
Sanchez has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1070 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided nine assists, linking up well with Lautaro Martinez.
