Inter defender Milan Skriniar discussed the Nerazzurri’s bitter 2-2 draw against Roma earlier tonight in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV after the game.

“We wanted the three points, unfortunately we couldn’t get them. Maybe we should have been more patient in possession and making the opponents chase us down. Anyway, we drew in the end and now we’re preparing for the next few games.”

The 25-year-old Slovakian discussed the team’s growth and how they are approaching the remaining games of the season.

“This team grows after every training session and you can also see by the fact that we are in the Champions League four games early, although our goals were different. Now we’re going forward for this final part of the season.”

Finally, Skriniar commented on what the team can still do to improve their defense.

“We only concede a few shots, but then we almost always concede goals. We often pay for individual mistakes, we need to improve from that point of view. Conte tells us what to do and we always try, the important thing is always to give our best.”

Skriniar made his 38th appearance of the season against the Giallorossi last night, with his total minutes on the pitch this season now being 3226. Coach Antonio Conte has consistently deploying the Slovakian, but he could be sold in the summer, with Manchester City being linked to him.

Skriniar has provided two assists and helped the side keep ten clean sheets.

Inter are currently second in the league table and their chances of winning the league title now look slim, considering that they are five points behind Juventus with only four games to go. The Bianconeri could extend their lead to eight points tomorrow, should they beat fourth place Lazio.
