Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo wishes to remain with his current employers for at least another year amid interest from a series of clubs according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The Italian national team midfielder would have perhaps stayed in the capital for the remainder of his career but it is no longer so certain after he felt he was unjustly treated after his falling out with teammate Gianluca Mancini following the recent match against Hellas Verona.

Despite this, he wants to stay for another season as he has a great rapport with the Roma fans, is thankful to Roma for helping him flourish and knows that he can be a protagonist in the season leading up to the European Championship’s.

Juventus, Inter and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing him. Juventus’ proposal to offer Federico Bernardeschi or Daniele Rugani has been rejected whilst Inter would like to use the 20% sell on clause that they have as a discount of sorts to bring him back.

As for Spurs, manager Jose Mourinho thinks the former Virtus Entella player would be an ideal player for the Premier League.

As things stand, no club have presented an offer to Roma which satisfies club president James Pallotta who wants in excess of €50 million and close to €60 million for him.
