Juan Musso’s agent Vicente Montes has revealed that his client is solely focusing on the task at hand at Udinese amid ongoing speculation in the media regarding his future.

“In Italy there are many rumours about him, there is talk of Inter, Napoli and even AC Milan. In England it is said that Watford are keen and in Spain they speak of Atletico Madrid, who could move if Oblak leaves,” Montes began an interview with Italian radio station Radio Marte show ‘Si gonfia la rete’ earlier on today.

“The truth is that it is early and that at this moment he only thinks of Udinese and securing safety.”

He then went on to state that his client has certain ambitions for his career and that he recently held talks with Portuguese giants Benfica.

“What is certain is that Juan plans to have a very important international career and wants to make the qualitative leap. I recently spoke to Benfica, but I think Juan costs too much for them. It will take a lot of money to convince Pozzo to sell him.”

Next Montes was asked what would happen if a club such as Inter or AC Milan were to come in for his client in the coming months.

“They will all have to agree with Pozzo and we will have to agree with the clubs. We know what it’s like to deal with the Pozzo family, the prices of the great goalkeepers have grown a lot, at least before Covid.

“Therefore clubs will have to pay well to get him, but if an important offer arrives you could start talking, Pozzo is not one who clips the wings of his best players.”

In conclusion Montes then went on to share his belief that his client is capable of playing for a top club already.

“There have been some enquiries from Spain from non-first class clubs, I sincerely believe that Juan Musso is already ready for a great club.”

Musso joined Udinese from Racing Club back in 2018 and has a contract with the Bianconeri club until the end of the 2022/23 season.

This season the 26-year-old shot-stopper has made 35 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has kept 12 clean sheets.
