Inter Overtake Lazio In Race To Sign Hellas Verona Defender Marash Kumbulla

Inter have overtaken Lazio in the race to sign Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

Inter have courted the Italian born Albanian national team player for some time and there was a period where they cooled their interest in him but the Nerazzurri are back in front. The highly rated young centre back could be brought in to bolster Inter’s defensive department from next season.

Reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that Hellas Verona want in the region of €30 million for the 20-year-old, who has had his first team breakthrough at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

This season Kumbulla, who is under contract with Hellas Verona until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just under 2100 minutes on the field, Kumbulla has provided a single assist for his teammates at the Gialloblu club.
