Inter are continuing to try and agree a loan extension for Alexis Sanchez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Sanchez is currently on loan at Inter until the end of the Serie A season from Premier League side Manchester United and the Nerazzurri club would like to extend the loan to enable him to play in the latter stages of the Europa League. Inter are currently in the last 16 and are due to face Getafe in a one off match for a place in the quarter finals on August 5.
The report from the Rome based news outlet explains that it will be difficult for Inter to take him on loan for the duration of next season.
Manchester United are not interested in him returning to the club but his €13 million a year salary makes things difficult. Inter are currently paying just €5 million of his wages whilst United are covering the rest of them.
