Inter manager Antonio Conte was right to criticize the post-lockdown Serie A schedule Inter have been handed following last night’s 2-2 draw away to Roma according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Conte blasted the schedule that Inter have been handed which has seen them play late at night away from home every time and also come up against teams who have had more rest than them.

The Milan based news outlet have pointed out that in five of the eight fixtures Inter have played since the 2019/20 Serie A season resumed, they have come up against a side who had more rest than them and it points out that Inter’s arch rivals Juventus have never come up against a side who have had more rest.

Inter have four games left to play this season and currently occupy second place in the table. They currently trail  league leaders Juventus by five points in the standings.
