Roma captain Edin Dzeko could be an Inter player next season according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

Inter had shown a keen interest in signing the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team striker last Summer but failed to do so and he proceeded to sign a contract extension with Roma.

The report goes on to explain that Roma need to settle their accounts and are struggling to afford Dzeko’s €7.5 million a year pay packet and this could help facilitate an agreement being reached with Inter over his transfer.

The 34-year-old, who has been with the Italian capital city club since the Summer of 2016, has made 40 appearances across all competitions to date this term.

During his time on the park this season, which totals just shy of 3300 minutes, the former Manchester City player has scored 18 goals and provided his teammates with 12 assists.
