Stefan de Vrij gave Inter the lead within 10 minutes of the game starting with a well placed header but the first half ended equal after the Dutchman turned the ball into his own net.
Roma took the lead just before the hour mark through Henrikh Mkhitaryan whilst substitute Romelu Lukaku equalised for Inter in the final few minutes with a penalty.
