Matias Vecino will play no part for Inter in the remainder of the season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Uruguayan national team player is to undergo surgery on a knee injury today and this will rule him out for the remainder of the campaign.

The former Fiorentina player, who joined Inter in 2017 and is under contract until 2022, has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored three goals and tallied one assist.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that injury prone Stefano Sensi is aiming to make a return to action when Inter play in the Europa League at the start of next month.

Sensi has suffered injury after injury this term and has struggled to keep himself fit. The 24-year-old has scored three goals and provided four assists in 18 appearances this term.
