Lautaro Martinez is set to be dropped to the bench for tonight’s Serie A clash at home to Fiorentina according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
The Argentine national team striker has struggled in front of goal since the 2019/20 season got back underway and will start from the bench at San Siro tonight. Alexis Sanchez will maintain his spot up front and he will be partnered by Inter top goalscorer Romelu Lukaku.
The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that this may not be the only change that Inter manager Antonio Conte makes to take on La Viola.
Cristiano Biraghi and Victor Moses could replace Ashley Young and Antonio Candreva at left wing-back and right wing-back respectively.
Borja Valero may be deployed in central midfield opposed to attacking midfield, where Christian Eriksen could be deployed.
The report adds that Diego Godin and Danilo D’Ambrosio are both pushing for a place in the starting line-up too.
