Romelu Lukaku is still in with a chance of becoming just the fourth player in the past 30 years to hit 30 goals in a single season for Inter a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport highlights.

The Belgian national team striker has currently netted 27 goals this season and has at least five more games left this season to hit the 30 goal mark.

In the past 30 years, only Samuel Eto’o, Ronaldo and Diego Milito have hit 30 or more goals in a season. Eto’o scored 37, Ronaldo scored 34 and Milito scored 30.

Should Lukaku fail to score another goal this season, he would match the tally Christian Vieri had back in the 2002/03 season.

If he scores one more goal he would match the personal best tallies of both Aldo Serena and Ronaldo whilst two more goals would see him equal the tallies of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the recently departed Mauro Icardi.
