Inter centre back Stefan de Vrij could be available for Inter’s upcoming Serie A clash against Genoa according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

The Dutch national team defender hobbled off due to an injury in last night’s goalless draw at home to Fiorentina and this report explains that he has sustained a slight knee sprain.

He could in fact be included in the squad to take on Genoa and be back at 100% fitness for the following match against Napoli, which will be Inter’s second to last Serie A game of the 2019/20 season.

This season de Vrij has been Inter’s best performing defender. In 40 appearances across all competitions to date, he has scored four goals and provided four assists.

The report goes on to add that Danilo D’Ambrosio received five stitches above his eyebrow after his accidental collision with teammate Roberto Gagliardini during last night’s match.
