Watford have sparked an interest in signing Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Premier League side are owned by the Pozzo family who also own Udinese and transfers between the two clubs are a regular occurence.

The report from the Milan based news outlet however go on to state that a potential switch to the Hornets depends on them securing Premier League safety. Heading into the final game of the season Watford are sitting in the relegation zone and need to better Aston Villa’s result in order to stay up.

Musso has been linked with both Inter and AC Milan in recent weeks and months and the report also claims that Udinese’s €30 million asking price has driven the Milanese clubs away.

This season the Argentine national team goalkeeper has made 35 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has kept 12 clean sheets.
